Brentford B face AFC Bournemouth’s Under-21s on Wednesday afternoon in a behind closed doors fixture at Jersey Road. The match will kick-off at 12pm.

The young Bees go into the match following a 1-0 win over Millwall Under-21s on Friday and they will be looking to make it back-to-back wins when they face the Cherries on Wednesday.

AFC Bournemouth’s Under-21 age group are more widely known as their development squad, led by Shaun Cooper. Having had a pre-season campaign which began in early July, they have since taken on the likes of Under-21 sides from Crystal Palace, West Ham, Fulham and Queens Park Rangers.

August began with a 3-0 win over Swansea City Under-21s in South Wales before they followed that up with a 3-1 defeat to Cardiff City’s Under-21s in another friendly fixture six days later.

Their last match came on 17 August as they faced Brighton & Hove Albion’s Under-21s in their opening match of the Premier League Cup- a competition that the young Bees will also compete in over the course of this season. Their opening game came at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre as the Cherries impressed on the road with a 3-0 win. In less than 10 minutes they netted all of their goals against the Seagulls with Josh Popoola opening the scoring on 55 minutes before Daniel Adu-Adjei scoreD two minutes later. Christian Saydee then grabbed the third on 63 minutes as the side took the points on the night.
