THE OPPOSITION
They say losing, like winning, can become a habit. Unfortunately for Huddersfield Town, it's a habit they have become all too accustomed to since the start of 2018.
Before their recent six-game unbeaten run, The Terriers had won just six league games since December 2017, dropping out of the Premier League with a whimper last term under Jan Siewert. Siewert was unable to arrest the slump this term, taking just one point from the opening three league games before his sacking.
Following five more consecutive defeats, the first three under interim boss Mark Hudson and the latter two under the Cowley brothers, Danny and Nicky, the Huddersfield ship began to turn in late September. They picked up a point at home to Millwall before beating Stoke City and Hull City to record back-to-back wins for the first time since August 2017. Five more points over the past three matches have lifted The Terriers out of the relegation zone.
Having appeared to shake off the losing habit, Terriers fans will be hopeful their side can rediscover the winning habit that saw them romp to promotion when they were last in the second tier.
THE MANAGER
Danny Cowley took his first managerial role with Concord Rangers aged 29, after a non-league playing career was cut short by injury. His seven years in charge saw three promotions, from the Essex Senior League to the National League South, and a visit to the First Round Proper of the FA Cup.
In the summer of 2015, Cowley and his brother Nicky, who had been his assistant at The Beach Boys, joined Braintree Town, leading them to the National League Play-Offs 12 months later. The pair were on the move again that summer, this time to Lincoln City. It was at Sincil Bank that they began to hit the national conscience.
Their first season in charge ended with promotion back into the EFL and a run to the Quarter-Final of the FA Cup, becoming the first non-league side to reach the last eight in more than a century. The following campaign, Lincoln won the EFL Trophy at Wembley, as well as reaching the Play-Offs, before earning promotion to League One as Champions last term.
When he departed, Danny had a 53 per cent win record as Lincoln boss, the best in The Imps 127-year history.

It is as was for The Bees with long-term absentees Sergi Canos and Nikos Karelis the only players absent for tomorrow's game.
For Huddersfield, Terence Kongolo remains sidelined but Alex Pritchard, among others, have recovered from a stomach bug that swept through the camp last week.
