THE OPPOSITION
Could QPR be the latest struck by the Manager of the Month curse?
Following a slow start to the season under Steve McClaren, which included that 7-1 defeat to West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns, Rangers turned a corner in October, embarking on a five match unbeaten run which propelled them into the upper reaches of the Sky Bet Championship table.
A defence that had been so porous early in the season tightened up to concede just once in five matches while Rangers eight goals were shared around seven different scorers, including young talent Ebere Eze (pictured above). That all contributed to McClaren picking up the Championship's Manager of the Month prize for October.
However, November started with defeat on the road at Blackburn Rovers last Saturday and The R's go into tomorrow's game without a win over us in five attempts.
TEAM NEWS
For Brentford, Rico Henry and Emiliano Marcondes both played for Brentford B on Wednesday but will not be involved tomorrow. Julian Jeanvier has also missed the last four games while Kamohelo Mokotjo is set to be out for a further fortnight with a calf injury picked up against Norwich City. Lewis Macleod, who missed last week's game with a hamstring injury, could be in contention for a return to the squad.
QPR are hopeful of having a fully-fit squad at their disposal as Geoff Cameron and Tomer Hemed look set to overcome hamstring and groin injuries respectively to feature.
THE MANAGER
Steve McClaren was appointed QPR boss in the summer, replacing the outgoing Ian Holloway. The former England manager and assistant at Manchester United has been in coaching for more than 20 years and brings a wealth of experience to the R's table.
A midfielder in his playing days at Hull City, Bristol City and Oxford United, McClaren has since been tasked with some top jobs in the football world. Not only did he have to endure the pressure that comes with the England job, he also received heavy criticism for his work at Middlesbrough. He came through though, winning the League Cup with Boro in 2004 and the Eredivisie with FC Twente in 2010.
