The side have been putting in the fitness work and were recently down at Brunel University to use their running track as Head of B Team Athletic Performance, James Purdue, took the side through some longer distance work as well as some sprints.

Neil MacFarlane’s thoughts
The B Team Head Coach is going in to his fourth campaign in charge of the side and he is targeting more success for the group as they aim to ready themselves for First Team football over the course of the season.
"It's a changed group, a group that will be added to in the coming weeks," said Neil. "The lads who we have retained have come back to us in good condition so we're really happy with that. We also have a number of lads in on trial who are trying to make an impression and trying to cement their stay longer here. The group will calm down and in the coming weeks we'll have a really settled group to push on and have a really good season. We want to keep improving."
Neil also admitted that it will be a different side to the one that featured at the end of the 2021/22 campaign with players currently training with the young Bees looking to impress in the game.
He continued: "It's a good opener for us (to play Salisbury) and, like I said, there will be many changes in the group and it will be a very different side to the one that ended last season. That will probably be the case throughout pre-season and, once we've come out of that, we'll have hopefully cemented some new additions to the group so we can kick on."
About Salisbury FC
Salisbury FC played their first competitive game on Saturday 8 August 2015 after they were reformed following the liquidation of Salisbury City. They were initially placed into the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division and went on to win promotion in the 2015/16 season as champions with six games to play as they ended on 105 points. That then put them into the BetVictor Southern League Division One South and West for the 2016/17 season. They currently compete in the Southern League Premier Division South having finished 15th in that division in the 2021/22 season.
Salisbury got their pre-season campaign up and running on Saturday 2 July as they beat Frome Town 3-2 away from home and the match with the young Bees will be their second test. The Raymond McEnhill Stadium has a capacity of up to 5,000 and was initially occupied by Salisbury City before the phoenix club took on the lease after their formation. In charge of Salisbury is Steve Claridge, who had a playing career for a host of Football League and non-league clubs including a short spell with The Bees in 2004. His early days as a player saw him feature for the likes of AFC Bournemouth, Weymouth and Aldershot before turning out for the likes of Cambridge United and Luton Town in the early 1990s. He also played for Leicester City, Portsmouth and Millwall before rounding off his career in non-league with teams such as Worthing and Harrow Borough before joining Salisbury in 2015 as he took the managerial reins.
