Maxime joined The Bees from Belgian side Anderlecht in the summer of 2015 and made 21 league appearances during an injury-hit first season in West London. Last season, the 25-year-old featured 40 times for Dean Smith’s side, netting his first goal in English football during September's 4-1 win over Reading. Maxime added three further goals last term and leaves Griffin Park having scored four goals in 66 appearances.
Brentford Head Coach Dean Smith said: “We are disappointed to lose Maxime. He has been a consistent performer for us over the past 18 months but with his value being met, he made the decision to leave. We wish him well for his future career”.
Co-Director of Football Phil Giles added: “We were aware that Maxime could be a target for other clubs this summer. This is why we made a pro-active decision to bring another right back in earlier in the summer. We are very happy with the balance of the squad moving forward. Maxime did very well for us and we thank him for the two years he spent here."
