The brand new Gunnersbury Park facility will be hosting Saturday soccer schools for children between the ages of three and 12 starting this week. A new Sports Hub inside the park is just open and hosted 150 children for a free football taster session last Saturday. The facility, which boasts one of the largest outdoor sporting facilities in London, will mean local people will soon have access to a huge range of activities to help them maintain a fit and active lifestyle.
The new sports hub is a collaboration between Ealing and Hounslow Councils and involves Brentford FC Community Sports Trust, University of West London, the London International School and local leisure provider Better. Last week's session was also the launch of the new Mini Bees sessions, fun, engaging and technically focused football for the youngest players. The term starts this Saturday, 28 September.
Families can book a day place on the Mini Bees sessions for £8.50 and more information can be seen here. These bookings can only be made on the day of the session but term bookings are available. Along with the Mini-Bees programme, the Trust will be running, girls and boys football development sessions; junior and adult leagues; futsal sessions and exciting birthday parties at the hub.
