As 2021 comes to an end, it is a time for reflection and looking back. For Brentford FC 2021 produced some of the greates moments in our modern history. And one was selected as one of the football moments of the year.

In 2021, Brentford clinched promotion to the Premier League for the first time. The Bees won the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Final against Swansea City. That gave them a place in the top flight for the first time since 1947.

The Bees were selected to kick-off the 2021/22 Premier League season. On a Friday night in August, Arsenal were beaten 2-0. The game not only marked Brentford's return to the top tier but the first time football stadiums in the UK had been full since March 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic broke out and restrictions on movement were put in place.
