Construction work on the Brentford Community Stadium site has now been underway for more than three months and good progress is being made. The Brentford Community Stadium development is part of the wider regeneration of this area known as Brentford East and will deliver a 17,250-seat new stadium for Brentford Football Club, together with more than 900 new homes, a hotel, and a public square with shops and cafes. The Club is due to move in in December 2019, with the first residents moving into their new homes around six months later.

Piling work to build the foundations has been progressing well (more than 600 piles required for the development across the site) and deliveries of the steel required for the stadium frame are being received daily. In order to connect utilities such as water, electricity, gas and telecommunications to the site, the Club and EcoWorld London, the development contractor for the site (formerly known as Be Living), has had to close Lionel Road South, which runs from the South Circular Road to the M4 and A4, until 21 October (although an extended period to 31 December has been allowed for in case of any delays). The video below shows work on site this week.

EcoWorld London are now progressing plans for the future residential phases and, as part of this, a new computer generated image (CGI) of what the completed development will look like has been released (above).
