Be prepared for travel disruption
Industrial action is due to take place on Saturday 8 October and engineering worksare also taking place this weekend.
Rail services from London to Newcastle will be affected on both the outward and return journeys. The LNER network is expected to be a lot busier than usual given the reduced services in place and we strongly recommend fans to plan ahead and check your route before you travel.
Travelling to St. James’ Park
The stadium is located close to the junction of Gallowgate, St. James’ Boulevard and Barrack Road.
Fans travelling from Newcastle city centre should use Monument Metro station – a five-minute walk away from St. James’ Park. For more information on the service, please click here.
There are no unreserved public car parks on event days at St. James’ Park and traffic restrictions may be in place. Parking is allocated on a first come, first served basis. The phone number for parking is 0191 2018666.
Additional pay and display carparks near the ground include Eldon Square car park, St. James’ Metro car park, Stowell Street carpark and Modern Street carpark.
Newcastle United FC recommends that Bees fans use local public transport this Saturday due to the anticipated congestion. A park and ride system will be in operation from two locations: Newcastle Great Park and the Metrocentre. For directions, timetables, and additional information, please click here
Beesfans will enter the stadium through the Leazes Stand, turnstiles 91-94. St. James’ Park away allocation is located on level seven. Please be aware there are 140 stairs and 14 landings on the way up to your seat. If you feel uncomfortable climbing those stairs, please speak to a steward who will direct you to a lift. Turnstiles will open 90 minutes before kick-off.
Away pubs
St. James’ Park’s central location means pubs and restaurants are not in short supply!
The Newcastle Tap, A Head of Steam and The Lounge are all near to Newcastle Central station and will welcome Bees fans.
Please be mindful that many pubs in Newcastle will only allow entry to visiting fans if colours are covered.
No Room for Racism
All Premier League matches between 8 and 16 October, including this match against Newcastle United, will be dedicated to No Room For Racism, as the Premier League and clubs highlight their ongoing commitment to tackling discrimination and promoting equality, diversity and inclusion.
Players will take the knee ahead of kick-off before all 20 fixtures to show their unity against all forms of racism.
Have a safe trip and enjoy the match!
