Paris joined The Bees in January 2020 from Tottenham Hotspur. His first 18 months in West London were interrupted by injury and the COVID-19 pandemic but he has been involved with the First Team group in both training and matches over the past few months. Paris has also played 14 times this season. Those appearances have come in Brentford B fixtures and for the Brentford XI in behind closed doors practice matches.

Neil MacFarlane, Brentford B Head Coach, said: “Paris is a really talented young player who has matured throughout his time with the Club. He came back in pre-season following some injury setbacks and he has been absolutely outstanding for us in terms of his fitness levels, as well as the maturity that he has shown on the pitch. He’s had the opportunity to step up and train regularly with the First Team in recent months which has been fantastic for him.

“He is a player who can control the tempo of a game and he’s somebody who can really influence our style of play and it’s fantastic that he has signed a long-term contract. He is one of the most talented players to come through the B Team pathway.”

Phil Giles, Brentford FC Director of Football, added: “Paris has done very well since returning from injury last year. We have been pleased he has progressed to the First Team bench recently, and if he keeps working as hard as he has been then I’m sure he will get his chance in the First Team at some point. We will continue to review his progress and pathway from B Team to First Team over the coming months."

Paris was named as a substitute for Brentford in the Carabao Cup First Round match against Wycombe Wanderers in September 2020 but missed most of last season injured. He signed a new one-year contract last summer and has now extended it. Paris has been named as a substitute on four occasions for The Bees in the Premier League this season, as well as in the Carabao Cup win at Stoke City.

Paris played for Spurs in the UEFA Youth League and also represented the North London side in the EFL Trophy, when they entered an Under-21 side. He made his England Under-20 debut last October, against Wales, and has also featured at Under-18 and Under-19 level. Paris has 13 England caps overall, scoring once.
