The 2021/22 Premier League season only came to an end a few days ago but work is already well underway on preparations for next term. Brentford’s players are now either on holiday or preparing to meet up with their international teams. They will return to pre-season training after their break and plans are already in place as to how The Bees will build-up to the new campaign, which starts on the weekend of Saturday 6 August.
The pre-season training schedule is set to include five games that Brentford fans will be able to attend, three of them currently planned to be outside of the UK. The pre-season match programme will start with a game in the London area on Saturday 9 July. This match will be announced as soon as possible.
The Bees will be heading to south-west Germany for a pre-season training camp from Tuesday 12 July until Tuesday 19 July. The camp will not be open to supporters and will be held close to the border with France and Switzerland. There will, however, be two games during that week that fans can attend.
The first of these games is currently planned to be on Saturday 16 July, the second provisionally on Tuesday 19 July . Discussions with opponents for these matches and venues for them are ongoing. The Club will confirm all details as soon as we can but any fans looking to attend can make plans to be in the area between Stuttgart, Strasbourg and Zürich during this time. We will share any details as we receive them.
Brentford’s players and staff will fly back to London after the second of those fixtures and then return to mainland Europe for a game on Saturday 23 July. We are close to confirming the details of this game and hope to do so very soon. The Club will have an allocation of tickets for Bees fans to attend this game and more information on tickets sales will be announced once the fixture is confirmed. Any fans staying on in Germany after the game on 19 July are likely to have a long journey to reach this game on 23 July. We will make announcements as soon as all agreements are in place.
The final pre-season game will be played at our stadium on Saturday 30 July. The opponents and details will be announced when contracts are finalised. Keep an eye on Club channels for confirmed match details for all games. We will announce as soon as we can.
