Brentford B are back in action on Saturday morning when they face Newcastle United Under-21s in an 11am kick-off. The young Bees will face the Magpies at the Newcastle United Academy training ground.

Neil MacFarlane’s side have won their last two matches having beaten Swedish side Halmstads BK as well as National League side Wealdstone in the Middlesex Senior Cup.

The match with Wealdstone earlier this week saw the young Bees win it late with a strike from Romeo Beckham giving them a place in the semi-finals of the competition.

In opposition

United go into the game off the back of a 2-2 draw with Leeds United Under-21s at Northumberland FA in Premier League 2. The side had to come from behind twice at Whitely Park as they confirmed the draw with goals from Ben Parkinson and a Connor Ferguson own goal.

The young Magpies are eighth in Premier League Two Division Two having picked up 15 points from their 14 games. In total they've claimed four wins, three draws and seven defeats. In charge of Newcastle’s Under-21s is Ben Dawson who was appointed last month having taken the role for a temporary spell beforehand after Elliot Dickman’s departure. Since taking the job permanently the side were narrowly beaten by Sunderland Under-21s which preceded the draw with Leeds.
