The Premier League's Primary Stars project has outlined some of the ways it is helping schools and parents. The Premier League's Primary Stars scheme provides free, flexible and easy-to-use curriculum-linked teaching resources for schools. Using the power of football, the programme offers a host of free resources to teachers and pupils to encourage youngsters to learn, be active and develop important life skills.
Over the past few weeks, the project has released some of what it is offering to schools. This includes ways to use football to learn about units of time. The resources will help them think like a young referee making calculations involving times of the day.
Pupils practise adding times together like a referee in a match. They can also calculate the difference between two times using hours, minutes and seconds. Referee Kevin Friend helps pupils to learn. See more here and below.
