Brentford’s ongoing 2014/15 season was marked in style at the Player of the Season Awards Dinner.

Hundreds of Brentford fans joined players, management and staff to celebrate the season, which is not yet at an end.

The Bees will play Middlesbrough in the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Semi-Final looking to climb back to the top flight of English football for the first time since 1947.

As announced last night, Toumani Diagouraga was named Supporters’ Player of the Year, ahead of Alex Pritchard and Jota.

He also won the Bees Travel Club ‘Player of the Year’ award, voted for by those who travel on the Supporters’ Association coaches to away matches, for his performances away from home this season.

Stuart Dallas took the Goal of the Year award for his second goal in the memorable win against Fulham at Craven Cottage.

And the rest of the night’s awards were shared around.

Alex Pritchard won Players’ Player of the Season while Jota, who also had the second and third goals in the Goal of the Year vote, did win an award – The Bees Player Outstanding Moment of the Season award.

The Bees Player team, who produce the match coverage for the Bees Player premium website service, nominated him for scoring the winning goal in stoppage time against Fulham at Griffin Park in November.

Jake Bidwell won the Community Player of the Year prize, awarded for work in the community and with Brentford FC Community Sports Trust while the final regular award, and the most coveted among the squad, the Hottie of the Year prize, was won by Andre Gray.

There was a special presentation to Brentford Manager Mark Warburton from the Board of Directors for his work at Griffin Park.

Mark, who will be leaving at the end of the season, has been at Brentford since February 2011 as First Team Coach, Sporting Director and boss.

Under his leadership Brentford won promotion from League One and still have the chance to make it two successive elevations.

Richard Lee, who will be retiring at the end of the season, also received a special presentation from the Club for his five years with The Bees.

There was also a Special Achievement Award given to Roger Crook for his work for Brentford FC Community Sports Trust, the Club and Brentford Women's and Girls FC.

More from the Big Red Ball will follow on www.brentfordfc.co.uk and Bees Player later this week.
