Defender Raphaël Calvet has left Brentford. The France Under-20 international spent just over two years with The Bees. He did, however, only make one First Team appearance, in a Johnstone’s Paint Trophy tie against Peterborough United in October 2013.
Raphaël joined Brentford from AJ Auxerre in September 2013. The 21-year-old played for France at youth level and captained the squad which reached the Quarter-Finals of the 2011 FIFA Under-17 World Cup. He moved to West London from the French Ligue Deux club after a short trial.
Phil Giles, Brentford FC Co-Director of Football, said: "On behalf of the club I'd like thanks Raphaël for his efforts as a Brentford player. He will go back to France and is looking forward to a new phase in his career. We wish him well and hope that he can establish himself at a new club in due course."
