It is the time of year when footballing prizes are dished out and the first Brentford award was presented last weekend. On Saturday, the Irish Brentford Supporters Club presented their Player of the Year prize to Romaine Sawyers. They handed over the award after watching The Bees beat Queens Park Rangers 2-1 at Griffin Park and continue their push for a Sky Bet Championship Play-Off place. Alfie, one of the younger Irish Bees, presented the trophy to Romaine after the match.
Romaine has played 43 games for Brentford this season in all competitions and scored five goals. He has made 41 Sky Bet Championship appearances and notched four times, including vital goals in the wins over Fulham and Aston Villa and the winner against Millwall. He has also contributed five assists in all competitions.
