Our 2022/23 Premier League opener against Leicester City has been moved. Thomas Frank's side were due to play The Foxes on Saturday 6 August, kick-off 3pm but the game at the King Power Stadium will now be played on Sunday 7 August, kick-off 2pm.
Leicester City requested the move due to an event in the local area on the date of the original game and that request has been granted by the Premier League.
This will be just our second-ever visit to the King Power Stadium, Leicester’s home since 2002. The first came in March when goals from Timothy Castagne and James Maddison proved decisive, despite a fine, late consolation from Yoane Wissa. It was a similar story in TW8 last October as The Foxes again ran out 2-1 winners, Zanka the Brentford goalscorer on that occasion.
