The all-new Brentford B will begin their first pre-season this week. Earlier this summer, the Club announced plans for a new elite squad of players aged 17 to 21. This new squad – which will be known as Brentford B - will benefit from close links with the First Team and provide a clear pathway to senior football for the young players. They will start training this week ahead of an exciting programme of games, which will start soon.
The group will be coached by Flemming Pedersen and he will be assisted by Kevin O’Connor. Allan Steele will also coach the group and retain the position of Player Welfare Officer he held last season. There will also be dedicated sports science, medical and analysis staff working with the squad.
Six players have been signed to the B Team this summer. Kyjuon Marsh-Brown has turned professional at the completion of his scholarship while Danny Parish, who was in the Youth Team last season, has signed on. Former Stoke City goalkeeper Dominic Kurasic has signed as has fellow goalkeeper Dimi Kyriatzis. Jarvis Edobor has joined from Chalfont St Peter and Denmark Under-16 international defender Lukas Talbro has joined from Odense Boldklub.
Interviews with the new signings and more from Brentford B will follow on Bees PlayerHD and www.brentfordfc.co.uk later this week. There will also be more information shortly on upcoming matches.
