Brentford FC Futsal Club are holding a two-day Futsal Development Camp at Osterley Indoor Sports Centre next month. For those that are relatively new to the sport of Futsal, it’s a game played widely in Brazil, Argentina and throughout Europe, most notably in Spain.

This fast paced game, with a weighted ball which encourages skilful play along with placing challenging decision making situations on players can lay claim to Lionel Messi, Christiano Ronaldo, Xavi and Andreas Iniesta having played it in their formative years.

Futsal is now well established in the UK with a FA National Futsal League and FA Futsal Cup. With the junior game growing, more young players are taking up the game. Here is a chance for children aged eight to 12 of all abilities to play and learn about Futsal during our two-day camp on Monday 17 August and Tuesday 18 August.

Coached by a Futsal Level Two Coach, Luis Melville (who also coaches BFC Futsal Club and has previously coached in the FA National League), players will learn the basics of Futsal and get plenty of chances to play the game in a realistic environment.

The camp will take place at Brentford FC Futsal Club’s training venue, Osterley Sports Centre on the indoor court. Also on hand will be some of the players from BFC Futsal Club to help out at the sessions.

All courses start at 9.30am and finish at 1.30pm. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start and collection times for each camp. All coaching staff are FA qualified and have completed their Safeguarding Children, CRB and Emergency Aid certificates. The two-day camp will cost £33, visit the Sports Trust website for full information and details on how to book..
