There’s No Room For Racism at Brentford

This fixture is one of our designated No Room For Racism fixtures for the season.

We believe that football is for everyone. Our inclusivity and diversity make us who we are. There is no room for discrimination, and racism is not tolerated at our club.

Like other Premier League clubs, our team will take the knee before kick-off to show their commitment to eradicating discrimination. We encourage you to be in your seats early.

On matchday, we’ll be supporting the 'Say My Name' campaign that highlights how respectful interactions around names can create more inclusive communities:

  • Our players will warm up in shirts featuring the phonetic spelling of their names so we can all say their names accurately and respectfully

  • We’re encouraging fans to ask each other to share the meanings and stories behind their names so that we can better understand each other’s family histories and identities

Before the match, Thomas Frank will present Brentford Women head coach Karleigh Osborne with a specially commissioned illustration to celebrate Karleigh as our No Room For Racism icon, an initiative by the Premier League.

Black History Month | Test your blood type at the Fan Hive and see our exhibition

Black History Month is an important time of year to celebrate the contributions of Black people to British society, as well as reflect on the history, culture and struggles of the African and Caribbean diaspora in the UK.

There will be some activity to mark Black History Month on matchday.

  • Bee A Hero: to raise awareness of sickle cell disease and encourage our fans to donate blood, you’re invited to test your blood type at the Fan Hive (located next to the Bees Superstore) between 12.30pm-2.30pm. The team from Sickle Cell Society will be present to learn more about the disease, and fans can meet Josh Dasilva from 1.30pm.

  • We’re profiling Brentford’s Black players and staff in 'Celebrating Us', a new photo exhibition that discusses topics such as inspiring Black figures and legacy. Find the exhibition on matchday inside entrance C and in the north stand.

Your matchday presentation | Olympian Georgia Bell joins us pitchside
