"I'm delighted, it's something you always dream of, to play for a club this big and I can't wait to get started," explained the 18-year-old.

Max arrived at Bolton Wanderers at the age of 13 and rose through the ranks to feature for the Under-18s and Under-23s. The versatile midfielder is thankful for the time spent with Bolton where he developed over the years and he's looking forward to working on his game in West London.

He continued: "I was at Bolton from the age of 13 and managed to play for their Under-23s at 16 and managed to play consisntely with the Under-18s as well which was a really good experience. To play in older age groups was good for me and it was a great club to be at."

Max also added that he feels the B Team games programme, twinned with a talented group of players, is something that can help him kick on with his development. With the side not playing in a league format, the chance to test himself against men's opponents, other youth teams, as well as foreign sides is something very exciting.

"It's a top group with some great quality," said the midfielder. "I think Neil (MacFarlane) is a great manager in terms of his man management and tactically as well. When I came down on trial we played against Monaco who had some senior players playing so it was a great experience. To then play against National League teams and other Premier League sides gives you a great experience."
