The Club is announcing changes to the Brentford Football Club Board with two new Directors added.

Mike Power and Nity Raj have been ratified by the Football League and are now Brentford FC Directors.

The Board now comprises Chairman Cliff Crown, Vice Chairman Donald Kerr, David Merritt, Mike Power, Nity Raj and Phil Whall.

Mike, a Brentford fan, has been on the Board of Brentford FC (Lionel Road) Ltd – the company running the project to build a new stadium for The Bees – for six years.

The 66-year-old, born in Isleworth, has been coming to Griffin Park since he was 11-years-old.

He has a background in finance and general management and is a qualified chartered management accountant

He worked for the Procter and Gamble Company for 31 years and rose to the position of Divisional President before he retired in 2003.

Mike took on the role of Chief Operating Office for London’s successful 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games bid and held the same role for the first two years of the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG).

He is also on the Board of British Swimming and the Sport and Recreation Alliance, the umbrella organisation for the governing and representative bodies of sport and recreation in the UK which represents 320 members, where he is the Senior Director.

Nity, also born in Isleworth, has a legal background.

He is currently General Counsel at Smartodds, a company which provides statistical research for professional sports gamblers which is owned by Brentford FC Owner Matthew Benham.

Nity is a commercial lawyer who previously worked with Phil Whall at AOL.

He is also on the Board of Danish club FC Midtjylland, also owned by Matthew Benham.

Cliff Crown, Brentford FC Chairman, said: “I am delighted that Mike and Nity have accepted our offer to join the Board.

“They bring with them enthusiasm and passion for the Club.

“They also have a range of skills which we are already utilising to support the management team at the Club.

“I am confident they will both make an outstanding contribution to Brentford Football Club for many years to come.”
