Are you a retired Brentford fan? Do you love football? The Brentford FC Community Sports Trust might have just the thing for you.

A brand new Walking Football session will be starting tomorrow, Tuesday 30 October. Goals, Gillette Corner, will play host to the session every Tuesday between 11am and 12noon. It will give those who still want to play football the chance to get out on the pitch at a more sedate pace.

Walking football is aimed at keeping people aged over 50 involved with the sport if, due to a lack of mobility or for other reason, they are not able to play the traditional game. Most normal football laws apply but there are some key differences. Running is forbidden and the ball must not go over hip height. There is also a ban on sliding tackles.

If this sounds like something that may be of interest, there is a chance to get involved from tomorrow. To book your place, email Neil at [email protected].
