Brentford goalkeeper Ellery Balcombe joined Burton Albion on loan for the season last week. Ellery, 21, completed the move to the Sky Bet League One side last Tuesday, 29 June, and has been training with them as they begin preparations for the new season. He could make his debut tonight, Tuesday 6 July, in a pre-season friendly against Nuneaton Borough.

After completing the move, Ellery spoke to the Burton website. He discussed his ambitions for the season and what he wanted to get out of the move. Ellery will link up again with Andy Quy, who had a spell as Goalkeeper Coach at Brentford during the 2019/20 season and now has the same role at Burton, and spoke about that relationship.
