Along with winning the PFA’s Community Champion award, Brentford player Sergi Canós was also crowned ‘Community Player of the Year’ at Brentford’s Player of the Year Awards dinner, sponsored by Simplexity, on Sunday. Sergi, who has won a range of community prizes, was presented with his award by Lee Doyle, CEO of Brentford FC Community Sports Trust . Along with teaching Spanish at a local secondary school, Sergi had been recognised for advocating the importance of mental health and healthy eating initiatives amongst children.
