With young people unable to meet, Brentford FC Community Sports Trust has moved its Football Development Centre sessions online. Brentford FC Community Sports Trust’s football programme offers young people of any ability and those with potential, an opportunity to receive a high-quality football education experience, enabling them to improve in a player-centred environment. But that cannot happen at the moment.
Participants usually have the opportunity to attend weekly training sessions at multiple venues, delivered by FA and UEFA qualified coaching staff. They can represent Brentford FC in a structured development match programme against other professional club Trusts including Fulham, Ipswich Town, Oxford United and Reading. But with that unable to take place, the coaches are working at home.
Sessions run every Tuesday and are open to everyone, starting at 5pm or 6pm depending on how old you are. They are free to take part in but there are limited spaces available. See more here or below.
The sessions form part of the Trust's reponse to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic with residents asked to stay at home. During the lengthy period of restriction in the spring and early summer, the Trust ran #BeeatHome and #BeeWell campaigns to keep everyone healthy and engaged. Keep an eye on Trust and Club channels for more activities to keep active at home.
