Yoane Wissa scored once in each half as a Brentford XI took on Wycombe Wanderers at Jersey Road on Monday afternoon.

Zanka, Mads Bech Sørensen and Tariqe Fosu all played 90 minutes in their continued quests to recover from injuries sustained earlier this season. A tight game in West London saw the visitors emerge 3-2 winners thanks to a last-gasp goal from David Wheeler.

Wanderers took the lead after 25 minutes, Ali Al-Hamadi racing clear to poke the ball beyond Jonas Lössl from the left side of the box.

With 38 on the clock, Wissa nabbed his first. He cut in from the left wing, took a touch to steady the ball and whipped a shot into the top right corner. Adam Przybek tried his best but was never reaching it.

Just before the break, former Brentford youngster Chris Forino-Joseph struck through a crowd of players in the box and saw his effort sneak in at the far post. At the break, The Bees switched goalkeepers with Álvaro Fernández coming in for the second half.

Midway through, we also saw Paris Maghoma come in for Mads Roerslev and play at centre-back with Zanka. Sørensen moved to left-back while Fin Stevens swapped flanks.

It took until the very end of the game for things to heat up in front of either goal. DR Congo international Wissa netted his second in similar fashion to his first after 88 minutes. He evaded his marker on the edge of the box before drilling a shot low into the bottom corner.

With just seconds remaining, Wheeler raced clear of the back line to slot beyond the keeper and snatch a narrow win for The Chairboys.
