Brentford Women face Whyteleafe in the London South East Division One North on Sunday at Bedfont Sports Club in a 3pm kick-off.

The Bees aim to make it 11 wins in a row as they come up against a Whyteleafe side that they beat 4-0 in the reverse fixture earlier this season.

Sunday’s opponents currently sit seventh in the table having played 13 times, winning six, drawing twice and losing five times.

Whyteleafe enjoyed a 4-2 win over Newhaven in the Trophy Cup semi-final in the side’s last outing, ending a previous three-game losing streak.

Isata Igbavboa is one to watch for Whyteleafe as she leads the goalscoring charts for her side, netting nine times this season.

Karleigh Osborne’s side cruised to a 4-0 win over Hackney at Bedfont Sports Club, earning a place in the Trophy Cup final against Whyteleafe.

Goals from Freya Worsley, Samantha Read, Chloe Logie and Nikki Woods secured the semi-final win in sunny conditions.

The final of the competition will be played on Sunday 19 May; a kick-off time and venue will be announced in due course.


Brentford Women B are also in league action on Sunday as they face Impact in a top-of-the-table clash at Bedfont Sports Club (grass pitches) in a 3pm kick-off.

Tommy Ryan-Maynard’s side will aim to get back to winning ways following two consecutive defeats.

Brentford were beaten 4-1 in the JGMT Cup by Camden Town at Wingate and Finchley Football Club in their last outing.

A first-half goal from Abigail Claringbold gave Tommy Ryan-Maynard’s side a 1-0 lead heading into half-time.

However, four second-half goals from the home side secured their win.
