Now available to purchase online, Saturday’s match programme includes an in-depth interview with Yoane Wissa.

Yoane sat down with Club Journalist Adam Goodwin to look back on some of his iconic goals from last season, including his spectacular overhead kick against Oldham Athletic: “The ball was behind me so the only thing I could do to get to it was that. But I never expected to score a goal like this, honestly!”

Our second interviewee is Francis Joseph, who scored 44 goals for the Bees in 110 appearances during the 1980s.

Francis was one of the first black players to represent Brentford, and he did so at a time when deplorable racist abuse from the terraces was rife.

“Away from home, a lot of the time, I think it was targeted at me because I scored goals and fans wanted to put me off,” Francis told Dan Long in Kings of the Castle - a new interview feature that marks the return of the castle crest.

“When the ball was in play, I didn’t hear it. But it was a different story when the ball went dead.”
