Thomas Frank has confirmed that Brentford duo Keane Lewis-Potter and Ben Mee are available for Saturday’s Premier League game against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Mee was an unused substitute at Villa Park last Sunday, while Lewis-Potter wasn’t part of the matchday squad.
“He [Lewis-Potter] is in a much better place and will be involved in the squad tomorrow,” Frank told the gathering media at Jersey Road.
“He’s trained well this week, which is positive. He’s been very unlucky with injuries, having started very well for us.”
Frank also revealed that he is happy with Mikkel Damsgaard’s progress.
The Denmark international, who joined the Club from Sampdoria in the summer, has started one game this season against AFC Bournemouth.
“He’s definitely more physically ready, there’s no doubt about that,” said Frank.
“He’s training well every day and doing everything he can to come back to that high level we all saw in the EUROs one and a half years ago. Sometimes that takes time, but he’s in a good place.”
The game against Wolves will come too soon for Christian Nørgaard who is recovering from an Achilles injury, but the midfielder could feature against Nottingham Forest next weekend.
“It’s going very well,” said Frank, “he trained with the team today.
“It’ll probably be too early to involve him in the squad but it’s very, very positive. All going to plan, he could be ready for next week.
“There’s no doubt that every team needs their top, top players to play.
“City, Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea – they all need their top players to play for them.
“Christian is one of our top players, so of course it would be nice to have him out there on the pitch.
“But when you don’t have a player, others need to step up and create relationships. We will manage, and we have managed, but we are looking forward to having him back.”
Pontus Jansson (hamstring), Thomas Strakosha, Aaron Hickey (both ankle) and Charlie Goode (both knee) all remain sidelined.
