Thomas Frank delivered some positive news ahead of Saturday’s Premier League meeting with Everton.

Keane Lewis-Potter and Mads Roerslev were both withdrawn during our midweek victory over Colchester United, but the boss confirmed that the pair are fit and ready for the Toffees’ visit to the Gtech Community Stadium.

Mikkel Damsgaard made his first start on Tuesday night, but Thomas told the gathering media that the midfielder will not be in the XI on Saturday.

“It’s too early for a start,” he said. “It’s about adding layers to the physical condition. We’re playing with a different intensity in a different league. We’re pleased with the steps that he’s taking but tomorrow will be too early.

“Everyone saw that standout performance against England because of the fantastic free-kick goal, but his defensive side and involvement we saw after that is what we’re aiming for.

“He’s been out for a year – he’s played almost no football over the last year – and had a disrupted pre-season, so it’ll take a little bit of time. He’s impatient and I’m impatient, but we need to make good, sensible decisions.”

Kristoffer Ajer remains unavailable for selection but made a significant step towards a return by featuring in Brentford B’s game against Millwall under-21 at Jersey Road on Friday afternoon.

Sergi Canós (hamstring) also remains sidelined.
