Brentford captain Christian Nørgaard has discussed the Bees' 3-2 loss to Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday, as he returned to the starting XI in north London.
The midfielder, who hasn't featured since the end of December, played 90 minutes and detailed his side's performance, which ended in a narrow defeat.
“Except for the first 15 minutes of the second half, it was a really good game from us today," Nørgaard began.
“But that's the headline: that blackout at the start of the second half. Unfortunately, it's not the first time we’ve had that this season, so it's something to speak about tomorrow, that's for sure.”
He added: “It’s hard to explain. Once the first goal happens, and you concede a bit unluckily as well, that's where you've got to be better. And I have a big responsibility as well, as captain, to try and get the team together.
"Even though they scored three within the space of 10 minutes, we still managed to come back and could have had a point today.”
It was Nørgaard's first game back since the end of December due to a foot injury and, after playing 90 minutes in north London, the Bees midfielder said is ready for Monday's clash with Premier League champions Manchester City at Gtech Community Stadium.
"It's always tough to be out with injuries," he continued. "It was a short one, I only missed two games - one cup game and then the Forest game, which was a tough one to watch from the sidelines.
“I'm pleased with how I felt today, I'm pleased with my performance, and it’s something to build on ahead of Monday.”
