Brentford defender Ethan Pinnock has said he and his team-mates can’t wait for the first west London derby of the season against Fulham on Saturday - and insists they will do all they can to come away from Craven Cottage with all three points.

The centre-back scored in our last Premier League fixture against Fulham (a 2-0 win at the Gtech Community Stadium last season) and is keen for the Bees to put in a similarly good performance to the one that day in March.

Pinnock said: “We've had quite a few games with them over the last few years and some notable wins.

“The most recent win was at the Gtech and me scoring in that game made it extra special for me.

“A lot of the boys are really looking forward to this one on Saturday. They've been a solid team and we know it's not going to be an easy game.

"But we know how much it means to the fans and we're going to give it our all to try and come out of there with the three points.”

The Fulham fixture is the second game of the Bees’ Premier League campaign, after a 2-2 draw with Tottenham in the opening match of the campaign.

And after a positive pre-season, a good result against Spurs, and a west London derby on the horizon, Pinnock insists he and his team-mates are ready to 'attack the rest of the season'.

“I’ve found the start of the season really enjoyable," said Pinnock." We had the tour out in the US and then, since we've been back at Jersey Road, the boys have been working really hard, prepared for the Tottenham game and everyone went into it feeling good and confident.

“I thought we put in a good performance [against Tottenham] and, on another day, maybe we could have got that extra goal to get the win.

“But, overall, a draw was a good result and we're really looking forward to the next game.”

He added: “That feeling of starting back in the Premier League... everyone was really excited to get back and stuck in.

“Even though we had the pre-season games and the Summer Series, the league just has that different kind of feel when there are points on the line.

“We were really fired up for the game and we're ready to attack the rest of the season.”
