Brentford centre-forward Ivan Toney admitted that he knew he had to "put on a show" as he returned to Premier League action for the first time in eight months, which he duly delivered with a goal in the Bees' 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest.
The centre-forward levelled the scores with a clever free-kick in the first half, before playing a part in Neal Maupay's winner.
And Toney discussed his return and his goal, which he knew was "a big moment" in the game but, as usual, he kept his cool and netted from the set-piece.
“That felt good, that felt very good. Hearing the fans screaming, just back on the pitch, scoring goals, winning games, it felt very good,” Toney began.
“I always believed we had enough in the changing room to win today. They are a great side but the boys dug deep and I think we deserved it in the end.
“A lot of people messaged me before the game but [the attention] is what it is, you’ve then just got to perform. You can’t let the nerves get to you, you’ve got to perform, people are here to watch you and you’ve got to put a show on - hopefully I did that.”
On his first-half goal, Toney added: “The feeling, the big moment, I always knew I was going to hit the target and I did that; if I did that, I was going to have a chance to score. In the end, I gave the keeper no chance so it was good.”
Toney had a special guest in attendance to watch his return, as rapper Stormzy watched on at Gtech Community Stadium and came to see the centre-forward after the game.
The artist was in the stands for the victory - but Toney joked there might have been an ulterior motive for him being in west London...
He laughed: “Stormzy was here today - we’re looking to sign him so we'll see what happens with that!
“Yeah, he said he wants to play in the hole, he said he would be good in the hole, so let's see what the gaffer says about that and see if we can afford him!”
