Josh Dasilva said that the friendly against Bordeaux - and the training camp in Girona as a whole - was a great opportunity for the B Team players to gain experience with the First Team.
Despite the 2-1 defeat in Spain, the Bees midfielder was happy to get back on the pitch, almost a month since our last Premier League game.
And he enjoyed lining up alongside the B Team players, including Alex Gilbert, Ryan Trevitt, Tristan Crama, Yehor Yarmoliuk and Michael Olakigbe, who all played the full game against the French side.
Dasilva said: "One of our goals before the game was to make sure we played with high intensity. I think, overall, I would say we played quite well.
“Obviously there are always things to work on, the mixture between the First Team and B Team boys, that understanding, but I think, overall, we got what we needed out of the game.”
He added: "It was good to get back out there and get feeling around with the team. There were a few young boys in there which was also good for them to have that experience with us too.
“It's good for them to gain experience and play with us. We play with high intensity, so it's good for them to have that experience. I’m sure that will put them in good stead.”
When asked about the training camp in Girona, Dasilva added that it has been a good experience to get back with his team-mates and the staff – but he did expect it to be slightly warmer in Spain...
He laughed: “It’s been cold! But, yeah, it’s been good. These trips are useful for the team and staff to get together.
“A few of us had been away, so for us to come together and just enjoy training and playing together, it's been good. But I was expecting it to be a bit hotter than this!”
