After Brentford's 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest on Sunday, Keane Lewis-Potter discussed how the improvement of key relationships in the side will lead to better performances.

Lewis-Potter has started the last two league games on the same flank as Aaron Hickey, and has also teamed up with Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa in attack.

And the winger explained how important those partnerships are, as well as how improving them in the coming weeks will lead to improved results on the pitch.

First, discussing his connection with Hickey, he said: "We’re quite close off the pitch so that helps massively on the pitch; we know each other's games quite well.  

“We try and complement each other in any way we can and we’re trying to get that connection. 

“Both of us can go inside the pitch and stay outside, so it's getting that balance and working on that.” 

On his partnership with Wissa and Mbeumo, he added: “We're always working together, whether that's crossing and finishing or just playing one-touch, keeping the ball together.  

“Once that starts to click a little bit better, then it'll be a lot easier for us.” 

Discussing the Bees' draw with Forest, Lewis-Potter revealed that he and his team-mates were disappointed to only get a point at the City Ground, but will take the positives from their performance into the Manchester United game next week.

“The dressing room was a bit down after the result," he said. "Especially after they went down to 10 men, we had pretty much full control of the game. 

"We scored straight after they went down and then they went up the other end and scored a goal. It's difficult for us a minute but we've got to keep working hard and keep pulling together

"We threw everything at it but, sometimes, it just doesn't fall for you. I don't think it is at the minute for us. But we will take the point and move on.”
