Thomas Frank has confirmed that Brentford captain Pontus Jansson is 'available for selection' for our clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Boxing Day.
The centre-back has been unavailable since our 0-0 draw with Bournemouth at the start of October with a hamstring injury.
But Frank stated that the 31-year-old is available to play against Spurs on December 26 - however, the Bees' other recent absentees, Aaron Hickey and Kristoffer Ajer, are not ready to feature just yet.
The Brentford boss said: "The energy and confidence from that Manchester City win is still there, and we have Christian Norgaard back fit to start and Pontus Jansson, Aaron Hickey, and Kristoffer Ajer are all in good places. That is all a positive.”
He added: “Pontus is available for selection. Aaron Hickey and Kristoffer Ajer are close, but not close enough yet, but they're really progressing. Thomas Strakosha is also very close. They were the four main guys who were out before the break."
Christian Norgaard missed a large portion of the season with an Achilles injury, but returned for our 2-1 win over Man City just before the international break.
The midfielder also got some minutes for Denmark at the World Cup, which Frank said means the Dane is 'looking good' ahead of the restart of the Premier League.
On Norgaard, Frank stated: "It is good that he got his World Cup minutes. He is coming back and looking good.
"He gives so much to the team with his character, personality and leadership. He is in a good place."
