Thomas Frank was delighted with his side's performance in their 'crazy' 5-2 win over Leeds United on Saturday.
“I’ve said it before, every win in the Premier League is big,” Thomas said after the game.
“Today, we managed to score five goals, that’s the first time in the Premier League, which is crazy. We were such a threat going forward.
“I think we started the game fantastic, front-footed, energy, pressing, creating chances. We go in front, it was well deserved and, after that, I think between the boxes Leeds were a bit better than us.
“They were on the ball more and their four front four are really good between the lines, I must say. But they didn't create anything in the first half. I know they scored the goal, but it was a bouncing ball that dropped. We need to do better in that situation.
“Second half, we were so dangerous on counter attacks and created so many opportunities, and we also scored some goals there. That killed the game off.
“I think that Leeds did well, I must say that. Our lower defending needs to be better and we gave too many chances away compared to what we normally do in those situations, so that's the thing we need to improve.
“I also said that with counter attacks and set-pieces, if we did those well today, we win the game.”
Thomas also spoke about centre-forward Ivan Toney, who scored a sensational hattrick at the Gtech. It was his second treble for the Bees, and his first of the game was his 50th for the Club.
And his boss joked that he was disappointed the striker didn't score four, before lauding the 26-year-old for another fantastic performance.
When asked if that was a complete performance, Thomas said: “He missed one, he could’ve scored a fourth goal, but close!
“But no, a lot of praise to Ivan. I said it in the dressing room to the boys, I can't remember if I've praised him in front of everyone before.
“Maybe when he got his first hattrick against Norwich, but this time definitely. Normally, he scores goals and he’s fantastic, but I praise others.
“But he truly, truly deserves it. Not only for this game but in general. His link-up play is so fantastic, his ability to press, drive the team, and then today he scored three goals.
“A penalty - the best penalty taker in the world - a free-kick that was well worked, he put it into the top corner, what a strike; and then that composure and coolness to take that out of the hat in terms of his finishing skills.”
