Christian Norgaard said it has been a 'dream' to be back in the Brentford starting XI after a long lay-off with injury.
The midfielder has been influential since his return to the Bees side, starting our draw against Tottenham and our 2-0 win over West Ham United on Friday night.
And Norgaard stated that it was 'fantastic' to be back helping us to a victory at London Stadium against David Moyes' side.
“It's the best, honestly, this is what we live for, whether it's home or away, it's the Premier League," Norgaard said after the West Ham win.
"It's what you've been dreaming of your whole life and now, to finally get back out there with the team, honestly, it's just fantastic. I really enjoyed it.”
When asked about the victory over the Hammers, Norgaard added: “It was fantastic, especially after the last game against Tottenham. I think against Tottenham, we put out a top performance for the first 65 minutes, but we still lost the 2-0 lead.
“We had a 2-0 lead again today, so it was important for us to be able to keep it and, yeah, what a game. There was some great support as well from the away fans - it was just fantastic to get the three points.”
Norgaard has returned to a midfield containing Mathias Jensen, as well as both Vitaly Janelt and Josh Dasilva, who started against Tottenham and West Ham, respectively.
The latter duo found themselves on the scoresheet after being named in the starting XI, and Norgaard said he has encouraged his fellow midfielders to get into the box, while his responsibility remains to protect the back four.
The Dane said: “I actually spoke with Vita about it the day before the Tottenham game – I said, ‘You need to get in the box’, especially when we play 5-3-2 with only two strikers.
"We need obviously maybe a wing-back [to get forward], but we need one of the eights to run in the box too.
“So it was fantastic to see Vita last game and Josh this game scoring, and we know Matty can always produce something.
“Saman came in and had a good chance, he could have scored. We need that from the eight, and I will try and defend the goal instead of scoring the goal!”
