Kerron Samuels, a composed and intelligent defender, joined Brentford FC after stints at Chelsea and Liverpool, marking his footballing journey with ambition and dedication.
Kerron has steadily worked his way through some of the country’s top youth systems before finding a new challenge at Brentford. His physical presence combined with his quick thinking and creativity makes him a key figure in Brentford’s B Team setup.
His football career began in local Sunday league football before earning his way into Chelsea’s youth system. From there, he moved to Liverpool, where one of his proudest moments was making his FA Youth Cup debut in front of his family. Now at Brentford, Kerron is determined to get as much game time as possible, continuing to improve and refine his game at the heart of the defense.
Described by his teammates as intelligent, creative, and quick, Kerron has always looked to make his mark on the pitch with his tactical awareness and ability to remain composed in possession. In his dream five-a-side team, he’d surround himself with world-class talent including Messi, Neymar, Van Dijk, and Ndombele—players who reflect the balance of flair and composure he admires. His family remains his greatest source of inspiration, particularly his dad, who has been a guiding influence on his development as a footballer.
Kerron relishes the opportunity to train at the Robert Rowan Performance Centre alongside Brentford’s first-team players, where he continues to learn and grow. He believes that being at the club has helped him improve his fitness and adapt to the demands of the professional game. Looking ahead, Kerron sees himself contributing to Brentford’s future with his calmness on the ball and ability to play out from the back—qualities he aims to offer in the years to come.
