Konstantin Ivanov began his footballing journey at Barnet FC. He quickly stood out, representing Barnet District before moving through several academies, including Millwall, Charlton, and Crystal Palace. At just 15, Konstantin earned his first caps for the Bulgaria U17 national team, showcasing his potential on the international stage.

In 2022, he signed his scholarship with Brentford FC and has since continued his development, even captaining the U18s in a memorable match against Bayern Munich.

Known for his intelligence, creativity, and effectiveness on the pitch, Konstantin is a player who combines sharp decision-making with the ability to unlock defenses. His leadership qualities and technical skills have already earned him recognition within the academy, as well as the respect of his teammates.

Off the pitch, Konstantin has a love for music, often getting into the zone before matches by listening to NBA YoungBoy with his initiation song of choice being Alicia Keys and Drake’s Un-thinkable. When asked to choose his dream five-a-side team, he picked a star-studded line-up featuring Alisson Becker, William Saliba, Cesc Fàbregas, Ronaldinho, and Dimitar Berbatov, showing his appreciation for a mix of defensive solidity and attacking flair.

Reflecting on his time at Brentford, Konstantin describes his experience as one of continual progression. He considers captaining the U18s against Bayern Munich a highlight of his journey so far. This season, he has set high goals for himself, hoping to help the team excel in the league and make a strong run in the FA Youth Cup.

Konstantin credits his father as the biggest influence on his development, providing constant guidance throughout his career. Training alongside Brentford’s first team at the Robert Rowan Performance Centre has also been a privilege for him. He has learned valuable lessons from observing their habits and work ethic, lessons he believes will help him in his own progression. With his intelligence and work ethic, Konstantin is confident he can offer these qualities to Brentford in the future, as he continues to develop into a key player for the club.
