Goalkeeping Coach Manu Sotelo joined Brentford in August 2020.

Growing up, Manu supported FC Barcelona, because of their style of play. His favourite players past and present are Shearer, Laudrup, and Iniesta. Looking back the advice he would give himself is to enjoy every single drill, training, and game. It doesn't matter what level it is at, be better, read, do research, watch trainings, talk with experienced coaches and be yourself! If Manu did not work in football, he would have been a teacher.

Off the field, Manu enjoys cycling, walking in nature, reading books and playing the guitar. He is inspired by his daughters. His favourite musical genre is rock, and his favourite artists include Queen, AC/DC, and Guns & Roses. He likes watching K Pax and Good Morning Vietnam. Manu's favourite meal is a Spanish omelette and jabugo ham. In the future he wants to travel!
