Shania Foley’s journey through football is a testament to her rapid, technical, and direct style of play.

Her footballing career began playing with the boys at school, a step that propelled her into competitive football at a young age. She joined Denham United Ladies at the age of 12, progressing through to Hayes and Yeading Academy before moving on to Watford Ladies and later Hashtag United in the National League.

Off the pitch, Shania balances her playing career with a sports science degree and her work as a football coach. She believes that her studies and coaching role have given her deeper insights into the game, shaping her understanding of what it takes to perform at a high level.

Since joining Brentford FC, Shania has worked her way up to the Women’s First Team, embodying the motto “trust the process” as her journey continues. Her proudest moments include staying composed under pressure and excelling in one-on-one situations, qualities that have made her a crucial asset to the team.

Looking ahead, Shania’s goal is clear: to help Brentford push for promotion this season. Her advice to young girls aspiring to play football is to “work hard in every training session because it will pay off.” She sees the future of women’s football growing exponentially, and hopes to remain a vital part of Brentford's success as they aim for the top.
