Brentford’s match against Blackburn Rovers was dedicated to the local community and young people played a special role. The Club’s first ever Community Takeover Match took place as The Bees beat Blackburn 5-2 on Saturday, 2 February, and children from Brentford FC Community Sports Trust’s projects had important matchday roles. Youngsters took over as Head Coach, Head of Communications, Referee and Club Shop Manager among many other roles and got involved with a matchday.
Mia Lloyd, who is a young carer for her mum, benefits from the Trust’s Ealing Young Carers project. Taking on the role of Club Photographer on Saturday she captured the game and everything else that went on. A selection of her pictures are above.
