The 20-year-old striker, who is on loan at The Dons from Brentford, netted four goals in December as AFC gave themselves breathing space at the bottom of the League One table. However, that tally wasn't enough to earn him the Player of the Month prize as Gilbey, who netted three times in six games from midfield, took the accolade.

Those four goals took Marcus into double figures for The Dons. The Finnish youth international has struck 11 times in 17 League One outings since joining in August. He was also on target for Thomas Frank's Bees during our EFL Cup tie at home to Cambridge United.
