Alex has featured as a trialist in games against the likes of Erith Town, Swindon Town and Crystal Palace in recent weeks, with the youngster netting twice at Griffin Park in the Semi-Final of the London Senior Cup on 26 August.

The Irishman has spent the past couple of seasons in and around the under-18 setup at The Hawthorns, last season playing 14 times in the Under-18 Premier League where he scored six times whilst providing three assists. There were also appearances in The FA Youth Cup, where he netted against Middlesbrough Under-18s.

Discussing Alex’s arrival, Brentford B Head Coach Neil MacFarlane said:

"Alex is a player who did well in his recent trial period, both in training and games. He's got something different to a lot of our current B team squad as he likes to run beyond the strikers, find pockets, and also spin in behind. We are looking forward to working with him and if he continues to work hard we think he can improve and develop his game with us."
