The young Bees have had three fixtures so far since returning for the new season having taken on the likes of Hanwell Town, Erith Town and Swindon Town. Their last match at The County Ground against League One Swindon saw Brentford B beaten narrowly despite some impressive displays as the side continue their return to peak fitness.
The match will be Palace U23s’ final pre-season encounter ahead of their first campaign as a Category One Academy, with their first match coming on 14 September against Fulham. Neil MacFarlane’s side will also be playing for places in next week’s London Senior Cup Final as the competition was carried over from last season so both sides will be keen to impress.
Shaun Derry’s side recently took on London neighbours Kingstonian in a pre-season match with The Eagles coming out on top with a 1-0 win.
The fixture is a behind closed doors match away from home for the young Bees, but supporters can tune in to watch from home with Crystal Palace streaming via their platform, Palace TV.
There is a pay-per-view fee of £3 to tune in, with Palace providing commentary of the match. Highlights free of charge will be made available on Brentford’s website and social media channels in the days following the fixture. There will also be full coverage on social media as well a match report of how the side fared on their travels.
