The 21-year-old joined the Sky Bet League One side in August and was due to spend the 2020/21 season with The Cobblers. But Luka has been affected by a back injury in recent weeks and has been unavailable for selection for Northampton’s matches. All parties have agreed that Luka will return to complete his recovery from the injury at Brentford.

Luka has been with Brentford since the summer of 2018, joining from FC Copenhagen. He spent just over a year as part of the Brentford B group before earning a new contract, which runs until the summer of 2023, and a position in the First Team group. He made his Brentford debut in April 2019 and his first Sky Bet Championship start of the last day of the 2018/19 season against Preston North End.

Luka, who has played 28 games at youth international level for Denmark, was part of the First Team squad for the 2019/20 season and played seven games in all competitions, six of them from the start and four in the Championship. He scored his first goal in English football in a draw at Cardiff City last February. Luka started six of Northampton’s first seven games this season in all competitions but has not played since the start of November. He made ten appearances in total for the League One side.
