Brentford v Arsenal has been chosen to TV coverage as the first fixture of the 2021/22 Premier League season. The Premier League broadcast partners have made their first selections of the season. Brentford's first ever Premier League game will be played on Friday 13 August and will kick-off at 8pm. It will be live on Sky Sports.
The broadcasters have made their TV selections for the first three weeks of the season, on the weekends of 14, 21 and 28 August. Brentford's games away to Crystal Palace, on Saturday 21 August, and Aston Villa, on Saturday 28 August, have not been selected for live coverage. It has also been confirmed today that two other fixtures are likely to move. Brentford play West Ham United away from home on the weekend of Saturday 2 October and Leicester City at home on the weekend of Saturday 23 October. Both teams are in the UEFA Europa League and should be playing on the Thursday evenings before those matches. The exact dates for those games will be published when broadcast selections for October are announced.
