On the first day of the Premier League AGM yesterday, Thursday 10 June, Brentford were officially welcomed to the top flight. The Bees won promotion last month after beating Swansea City in the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Final. The season changeover took place yesterday and Brentford will become the 50th team to play in the Premier League in August.

Brentford will be in the top flight for the first time since 1947 and will find out their Premier League fixtures on Wednesday, 16 June. The official Premier League handover was confirmed on their website here. The Club was presented with a Premier League share certificate, received by Chairman Cliff Crown, and are now formally in the top division.
